I'm Back!
Hello there! Sorry for the lack of updates. Life has been extremely busy. I'm glad that in the midst of busy-ness I've managed to make a few special things like a sweet Dr. Seuss apron and some colorful pillowcases in bright graphic prints. My sister is going to love it.
I'm going to post a few more random handmade projects after Thanksgiving. See you then!

Lunch Bag it!
This Japanese style lunch bag is one of my favorite things to sew. It's such a cheery, lovely bag to carry your office or school lunch. My family and friends are just so thrilled when I make lunch bags for them in their favorite colors and patterns!
This is just one of the many cute bags and totes that will soon be available in my new ETSY shop.

Sewing Pretty
I've been pretty productive cranking out cute lunch bags and aprons. The lunch bags are made from some of my prettiest Japanese fabric stash. These lunch boxes will be available in my ETSY shop soon.

At home with gnome
Aside from matryoshka nesting dolls, garden gnomes also fascinate me. There's something so magical about these adorable garden keepers. This Mr. Gnome belongs to my brother's collection. It's a planter garden gnome. You can plant a few sprigs of herbs or strawberry at the back of the gnome.
If you're an original gnome lover like me, check out this wonderful blog Better Gnomes and Gardens.

Learning from the experts
I love DIY TV shows but learning new stuff is even better if I learn first hand from the experts. I just recently signed up for a sewing/quilting class and I never imagined how fun it could be. It is so wonderful to learn quilting hands-on. With constant practice, I hope I can be as good as my teachers.
Till my next blog post. Have weekend!
This dizzying array of fabrics and notions make my heart pound LOL! I want them all.
Russell is teaching me how to do free hand stitching and the tricks of the trade. They're so cool!
Till my next blog post. Have weekend!

My Idea of a Candy Store
This is my idea of a candy store! I can spend hours in here just getting lost through the maze of tempting, sewing goodies.
Shelves of yummy Japanese fabrics, crafty supplies galore, handmade quilts and bags and cute sewing patterns greet the visitors of this Japanese craft store. The staff are Japanese but speak fluent English. They're also so helpful and friendly to boot.
I'm thinking of joining the sewing class here. Should I or shouldn't I? The answer is so obvious.

How to Make a American Quilt
I haven't seen some chick flicks lately. Since I just joined a sewing and quilting class, suddenly I want to re-watch this movie again. That will definitely inspire me to do very well in my quilting and sewing class.
Here are some photos of my quilting class. Everybody's so busy sewing and cutting away. Apparently quilting is not as easy as it looks as it requires precision, lots of patience and a ton of sewing supplies. Yes, it also requires a quilting magazine subscription, LOL.
My quilt is 80% complete! Can't wait to show it soon.

My Fluffy Stuffy Bunny
It's the Year of the Rabbit and there are lots of bunny inspired craft projects to go around. I was particularly smitten with Allsort's Fluffy Stuffy Bunny pattern and tutorial. Anyway I made my very own desktop mate Fluffy Stuffy Bunny to keep me company while I read my favorite blogs and Facebook updates.
Oh, I recently enrolled in a quilting class. Can't wait to show you my very first handmade quilt soon!
