Pumpkin Munchkin Acorn Napkin Ring Tutorial

Make these cute and charming character napkin rings  for your thanksgiving party this year and watch your guests giggle with delight! Just follow these simple instructions on how to make these dandy characters. Ready? Let's go!

Materials:

  • Large acorn (separate cap and nut)
  • Glue gun and glue stick
  • Wire cutter,
  • 20-inch ribbon,
  • black permanent marker or black paint,
  • Fall themed trimmings i.e. mini pumpkins, gourds etc.

You can readily use faux and recycled plastic flowers for this project. Just remove the flower heads from the stems. You may also use fabric flowers if you like.

Fold ribbon in half and glue on top of the acorn.  The ribbon should be long enough to wrap around the cloth napkin.

Glue flower on top of acorn. Glue mini pumpkin fall trmimming on top of the flower. Affix the acorn cap on top of the mini pumpkin. Glue securely  and decorate acorn cap with tiny flowers, ribbons etc.

Paint eyes, nose and moth on the mini pumpkin heads using a thin tipped permanent marker. Make the expressions as whimsical and cute as you can. Tie the finished item around the cloth napkin. Voila, it's done!
